"Our goal is to create a platform that organizes information accessibly for different audiences, including patients and healthcare professionals, while conveying trust and modernity."
As part of a recruitment process for the company where I currently work, I took on the challenge of developing a digital solution for Terapia da Fala Clinic, led by Dr. Alice Domingues. The clinic primarily serves adults and children, focusing on healthcare, training, and products related to child motor skills.
Minimum mandatory deliverables:
-
A mobile version and a desktop version of the platform,
-
Specific areas for users and particular areas for healthcare professionals,
-
Sections for: About Us, Contacts, Appointment, Training, Shop, and News.
Process
The process lasted 3 days and followed 4 main steps of: Discovery, Research, Ideation and Delivery.
Research
After understanding the internal scenario, I recognized the importance of conducting external reference research to grasp how other products in the same segment are being approached regarding functionality and aesthetics.
This market analysis provided valuable insights to enhance the product, aligning it with industry trends and best practices.
Delivery
Desktop version
Mobile version
Learnings
For the next steps, before starting product development, I plan to conduct an initial user test to identify areas for improvement and refinement. Simultaneously, I will work on developing the remaining necessary features.
Furthermore, I recognize the importance of developing a Design System for the product, once the visual key is established. This approach not only ensures the project's scalability but also promotes consistency across all interface elements.
Discovery
The project initiation involved extracting crucial information from the product briefing, which led us to formulate the following problem statement:
"How might we improve Terapia da Fala operations and enhance the user experience, with a primary focus on their business model?"
Regarding the goals for deliverables, I have prioritized functionalities to cover as many requested features as possible, achieving a strategic division:
-
Desktop: Non-authentication sections
-
Mobile: authentication-required sections
Ideation
Pencil and paper
To stimulate creativity and streamline the process, I made some hand sketches before creating in Figma. This approach allowed for a quick and practical visualization of the interface layout, providing a tangible starting point for development in the digital environment.

Transitioning from the ideas sketched on paper to Figma, I used the preliminary drafts as a starting point. I chose to begin with the mobile design, prioritizing adaptation for mobile devices as the first step in the creative process. This approach aims to ensure not only aesthetics but also functionality and accessibility across different platforms.
